We’re in BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month. It is a time to acknowledge the specific mental health needs of these communities, which are often overlooked. My guest is author a practitioner Charmain Jackman, PHD. She is a Harvard trained psychologist with over 20+ years of service in the mental health field. She is the founder/CEO of InnoPsych, which connects individuals, especially those from marginalized communities, with therapists of color and has connected over 10,000 people since its founding. We are going to find out about Dr. Jackman’s journey, path to becoming a psychologist entrepreneur, discuss her book , ‘The Black Therapist’s Guide to Private Practice and Entrepreneurship’, and strategies we can use in our everyday lives this month and throughout the year.
