Singer songwriter Kae Alayah stopped by Studio 8-8-9 to talk with The Secret Spots’ Mo Wilks about her musical background, inspirations and glimpse into her performance at the Momentun BAMSFest Boston opening night. She’ll be onstage at the Sinclair in Harvard Square with other local Boston area performers as part of the Momentum Boston a six day arts and culture curated event June 25the through June 30th.

Welcome to Studio 8-8-9 I’m DJ Mo Wilks. Summer is upon up which means if your in the boston area, less layers and more music outdoors. And one of THE BEST FESTIVALS going in the city of Boston at Dorchester’s historic Franklin park is the 7th annual Boston Art Music Soul Festival aka BAMS Fest, which happens June 28th in the Playstead in Franklin Park. Prior and post festival is Momentum Boston which is a six-day celebration of local arts and culture. I have the pleasure of sitting down with one of the featured artists Kay Alayah who is a R&B, singer, songwriter and Boston area performer on the rise. She’ll be performing at the opening nights Authenticity at the Sinclair in Harvard Square. We’ll chop it up with her and find out what she’s about and what’s she been up to musically and what to expect during momentum and BAMS Fest. Let’s go inside Studio 8-8-9.
